Claude Thompson, a devoted and faithful Christian, passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on May 3, 1947, in Greenville, Alabama, and had been residing in Prattville, Alabama.
Claude's life was defined by his dedication to serving in his church and helping his friends. As a retired military member of the 187th Air National Guard, he bravely served his country on numerous overseas tours. However, his proudest accomplishment was being a church deacon, a role he fulfilled with unwavering commitment.
Claude shared 30 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Debbie. Together, they created a loving and supportive home. They were blessed with a son, Tommy, and daughter-in-law, Jackie. Additionally, Claude was a stepfather to Amy and John, who were joined by their spouses, Aaron Cabaniss and Jennifer Thorne, respectively. Claude also cherished his role as a grandfather and leaves behind 14 grandchildren.
Known for his quiet demeanor, kind nature, patience, and humility, Claude touched the lives of many. His involvement in community organizations, particularly First Baptist Church Prattville and various mission trips, displayed his deep commitment to his faith and helping others.
Claude's passing leaves a void in the lives of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered as a dear friend and a devoted servant of God.
