Clarissa Pearl Burgett came into this world on October 24th, 2001 to Lori Burgett and Lloyd Sims. She came into our lives one way or another but touched us all deeply. She sadly departed this life on March 5th, 2024 while being surrounded by family and friends.

Clarissa was someone that lighted the room up as soon as she entered, she was so beautiful inside and out. She was such a kind hearted warrior that would always stand up for what is wrong. She was one of the funniest people in the room without trying. She had such a huge passion for animals, between the dogs we owned, the frogs, and turtle she had she always wanted to make share her love with more animals. This lead to her working at the Glen Burnie animal hospital as a vet technician.

Clarissa was preceded in death by her grandfather Lloyd D Sims Sr. Left to cherish her loving memory are her mother Lori Burgett; father Lloyd D Sims Jr; Sisters Ashley Burgett, Capri Greenwood, Devonna Winer; brothers Raphael Burgett and Lloyd D Sims III; grandmothers Janet Burgett and Ethel Pearl Sims; Uncle Joseph Channell; Aunts Renee Sims, Selene Sanders, Elibeth Channell; close cousins Rebekka Channell, Mason Channell, Rachel Channell.

Clarissa is loved by many, as Jamie Anderson said

“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”

She didn’t want anyone to see her at her worst only her best.
