Clarence Powell, born on July 23, 1947, in Atmore, Alabama, passed away on August 29, 2021, in Dayton, Ohio. He was the beloved son of the late Rose Powell David and Irene Powell Jeff Hall Sr
Clarence had a rich and diverse professional career, attending Florida A&M and serving in the United States Air Force as A Master Sergeant . He also pursued further education at Wayne State And was a 3rd Degree Master Mason and also earned a Black Belt in Karate
Preceding him in death are his parents Five Brothers John Hall, Jack Hall, JEFF Hall JR, Herman Hall, Jeff Hall ( JD ) Four Sisters Lena Blackwell Mable Hellen Dortch and Loree Ambrose
Clarence was known for his favorite saying, "I have lived my life. Now it's your time to do the same it’s my time to Rest on Credit ." His words served as a reminder to live life to the fullest and strive for greatness.
Clarence was married to his loving wife, Joanah Powell, and together they shared a beautiful 30 year journey. He was a devoted father to their One Child , one adopted child, and two stepchildren and his four children one son in law and daughter in law. Clarence took immense joy in their growth and accomplishments. He was also blessed with ten grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness.
Clarence is survived by his Wife, 8 Children, Steve Hall, Brian Powell, Clarence Powell JR, Shakera Benning (Jason) Benning, Keyahta Powell, Robert Wagner, Michael Wagner, Wendell Powell (Destiny Pardue ) as well as his three sisters One Brother and one Sister in Law , Linda Sheffield, Lemo Hall, and Mattie Hall, Larry Hall and Katie Hall A host of Nieces Nephew's & Friends . He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

My Father was a Great Man and always Showed me that I had to be Strong as being the baby he spent a lot more time with me than my Siblings from teaching me to Fish to teaching me to Drive he mad sure I had Life Band and Educational Experience and he accepted nothing But the Best from Me in his Final Days I was his best friend and he was mine as he watched westerns we talked about Everything some days from sunrise to sunset Every Day was a lesson and a Joke You never knew if he was serious or joking until he raised is voice my father was a Pillar too all who knew him he was loving and kind but would Show that mean side If it was needed and even pull out that .38 He loved and would handle it as if he was in a western his self If I can be twice The Man He was I know I’ll make my mark and he will be proud with him I always had to believe in myself because his statement would be Family is a bunch of people with the same last name you only have yourself
My father Inspired and influenced Many with him there was never a dull moment and boy did he love football he loved to have Super Bowl Get togethers through me his Legacy Shall Live on
In honor of Clarence Powell's life, his family and friends will gather to celebrate his legacy and the memories he created. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
