Christine Ann Renberg, lovingly known as Chris, Christie, Mom, Grandma, and Grandma Chris, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on August 7, 1955, in Grand Rapids, MI, and had recently resided in Grandville, MI.
Chris had a zest for life and found joy in her favorite hobbies. She spent countless hours bowling on various leagues and competing in tournaments across the state. She also loved camping and basking in the warmth of the sun. She spent endless hours rescuing her daughter from sewing debacles and left of love of sewing with her granddaughter. She always enjoyed sitting on her deck and listening to peaceful the sound of her wind chimes.
When it came to food, Chris had a particular fondness for seafood, especially savoring the taste of lobster and perfectly cooked scallops. She spent hours in the kitchen with her husband Fred testing out and perfecting new recipes. One of her favorite meals was a tender prime rib and homemade french onion soup topped with plenty of provolone.
However, nothing brought more happiness to Chris than spending time with her beloved grand-babies. They were the light of her life and the source of endless joy. She formed lasting memories with them in years past during grand-kid weekends at their seasonal camper in Mesick, MI.
Throughout her life, Chris held various professions, including telephone operator, customer service representative, and childcare provider. Her dedication to her work was recognized when she received the prestigious "Life Saving" award from her former employer, AT&T.
Chris cherished her marriage to Frederick Renberg and the beautiful life they built together. High-school sweethearts who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children and grandchildren. Survived by her son Edward Renberg (Katie) and their children Melanie and Jeffrey, son Steve Renberg (Jennifer) and their children Zachery and Zoey, daughter Jessica Krueger (Jeremy) and their children Elijah, Emma, Liam, and Landen, and son AJ Renberg (Alissa) and their children Aiden, Austin, and a grandson on the way.
