Cheryl was married to her high school sweetheart & loving husband, Phil Sargent, who stood by her side throughout their journey. Together, they created a life filled with love and shared memories. Their son, Andrew Sargent, and his wife Em of Portland, OR, brought immeasurable joy to Cheryl's life.

In addition to her immediate family, Cheryl is survived by her brothers, Paul Apodaca (Nancy) of Mesa, AZ, and Roger Apodaca of Alexandria, Minnesota. Their bond as siblings was strong, and Cheryl cherished the times they spent together.
