Preceded in death by daughter Julie Roark, her parents Hugh and Virginia Clay, brother Carl Clay, sister Colleen Kellogg. Survived by husband of 64 years Bill VanSickle, daughter &son in law Laura and Mark Denny. Five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Obituary

Charlotte VanSickle, born on February 8, 1940, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She dedicated much of her life to her profession, starting her own insurance accounting business, which laid the groundwork for a successful CPA firm.

Music was a significant part of Charlotte's life; she sang in her high school choir and church choir, played the piano and organ. Her love for the arts extended beyond music, as she was also an accomplished oil painter, leaving behind cherished works for numerous family members.

Charlotte's greatest joys came from her strong faith, her devoted family, and her beloved pets. She had a special fondness for babies and was a faithful servant in her church nursery, where she could often be found lovingly rocking the little ones. Traveling to Red River, New Mexico, was her favorite getaway, a place that held a special place in her heart. Additionally, she was a passionate supporter of her OSU Cowboy football team.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Roark; her parents, Hugh and Virginia Clay; her brother, Carl Clay; and her sister, Colleen Kellogg. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill VanSickle; her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mark Denny; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, and her sisters Carolyn Hardy and Cathy McCool. Charlotte's warmth, creativity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
