Charlie was a husband, dad, grandfather and a friend to all. A beautiful life filled with many events. Charlie met his wife in high school and married her after joining the Navy. He was aboard the Carrier as a jet mechanic. Charlie served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He later returned home and became a Police officer for the El Paso Police Department and at 25 years retired as a Detective. He then started another career as a High School Teacher. He survived 2 stage 4 cancers. Charlie became a lover of life and growth. Always improving and working to stay healthy. He was the best father and grandfather. He took care of his people and those around him. Anywhere Charlie would go, someone would know him.. a neighbor, a student, a coworker or friend. He was kind, nurturing, loving and also strong and courageous.
