Charlie D. Coleman, affectionately known as Big Charles, was born on March 15, 1977, in Gloverville, South Carolina. He passed away on September 9, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia, where he had most recently made his home.
Charlie was a devoted father and grandfather, finding immense joy in his children—Dequontra Coleman, Jupri Coleman, Terry Cade, and Teyanna Cade—and his grandchildren. His love for family was unwavering, and he often expressed his pride in them, which was one of his greatest accomplishments.
As a skilled mechanic, Charlie dedicated his career to his craft, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He was known for his work ethic and his motto, "One thing fasho ima get it done before the ground kiss the sun," which reflected his determination and commitment to excellence in all he did.
In his leisure time, Charlie enjoyed fishing, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and hosting BBQs, where he often gathered loved ones around good food and laughter. He had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the sounds of Jagged Edge, which often filled his home with joy.
Charlie's personality was characterized by a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room. He is survived by his parents, Travis Coleman and Shelby Coleman, as well as his siblings Robert Coleman and James Coleman.
