Charles Simon Pierce, affectionately known as Chuck and Mr. Myagie, passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on July 16, 1958, in Anniston, AL, he spent his most recent years in Mount Olive, AL.
Chuck was a beloved figure in his community, known for his kindness, humor, and wisdom. He had a passion for music that shone brightly in his life; he loved to sing and play guitar, often lighting up a room with his classic rock tunes. His ability to play anything on the guitar and his love for singing brought joy to many, making it his mission to make people smile. After retiring from a 40-year career as a truck driver, and sharing his knowledge through truck driving instructor. Chuck found fulfillment in working with small engines.
Family and friends were at the heart of Chuck's life. He cherished moments spent at home, surrounded by loved ones, and had a unique way of showing his affection through playful teasing. He was a devoted husband to Elizabeth Pierce, whom he cherished for 11 wonderful years. Chuck was a proud father to Charles S. Pierce III (Selena) and stepfather to Noah Campbell (Alondra) and Emma Campbell (Jacob). He took great joy in being a grandfather to C.J. Swink, Kevin Swink (Destiny), Marcus Swink (Jasmine), and Hailey Swink, Kelsi, Hali, Taylor, Mateo Campbell and a great-grandfather to Mia Swink and Amora Swink.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Simon Pierce Sr. and Helen Smith Cagle, his daughter Stacey Swink, and siblings Alan Pierce, Kim Pierce, Byron Pierce, Cindy Belcher, Simone Pierce, and Dustin Pierce. Chuck is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his children, a host of nieces and nephews, and siblings Vickie Humphreys, Mitch Pierce (Joelle), Tonya Stephens, and Tamala Norton (Daniel) Cheryl Pierce. Sister in laws Nena Martin, Deana Solftonk ( Vincent), Jennifer Sykes, Rebekah Hooper Mother in law Audrey Daigle
Chuck was an Alabama football fan and enjoyed watching cop shows and reality TV, particularly "Yellowstone." He had a knack for knowing just the right thing to say at the right moment, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of laughter, love, and camaraderie will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
Dinner will be served for family and friends from 4pm to 6pm in the fellowship hall at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
