Charles Roy Damron, Jr., affectionately known as Snub, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023, at the age of 74. He was born on September 20, 1948, in Huntington, WV, and was a long-time resident of South Charleston, WV.

Charles was a devoted husband, having been married to Janie Damron for 36 years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. Family was of utmost importance to Snub, and he was a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his brother, David Damron of St. Albans, and his sister, Sandra Higginbotham of Orlando. His children, Katie Underwood, Tammy Stephens, CR Damron III, Kevin Belle, Kim Blake & Kelly Parsons were the pride and joy of his life. Charles was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and laughter.

Professionally, Charles was the owner and President of Damron Electric Company, serving the area since the 1960s. As a Master Electrician, his expertise and knowledge were well-respected in the industry. His motto, "It's the knowhow that counts," exemplified his dedication to his craft, always striving for excellence in his work.

When he wasn't busy with his career, Charles found solace and fulfillment in serving the Lord. His faith was a guiding light in his life and he took great pleasure in attending church and being an active member of his community.

Snub will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and faith that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege to know him.

A service to Honor the Life of Snub will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, with Rev. Chuck Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2023, at the funeral home.
