Charles Merrill Littlejohn
August 5, 1944 - June 1, 2024

Charles Merrill Littlejohn, lovingly known as Charlie, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on August 5, 1944, in LaFayette, Georgia, and most recently resided in Enterprise, AL.

Charlie had a zest for life and cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, woodworking, and reading. His love for floating around on a boat in the water brought him immense joy. Charlie held a deep appreciation for old country and western music, especially the Grand Ole Opry. He was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, passionately supporting his favorite football and baseball teams.

Professionally, Charlie served in the military, focusing on working on helicopters and teaching others to do the same. He later became an Aviation Mechanics instructor at Ozark Technical College. Charlie's teaching extended beyond the classroom, as he enjoyed substitute teaching and mentoring high school students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and seek worldly adventures.

Charlie was a beloved husband to Marjorie Jean Littlejohn and a devoted father to Merrilyn, Mark Randall, Charles Laddie, Richard Joe, and Kristia Ivonne. He was a proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Charlie is also survived by his loving sisters, Sharon Brown and Debbie Cordell, as well as his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

In the community, Charlie found solace in attending church with his family. He was a strong advocate for young people involved in Alcoholic Anonymous and held a special place in his heart for the charity supporting Wounded Veterans.

Charlie will be remembered as a born-again Christian of the Southern Baptist faith who led a life rooted in kindness, generosity, and a passion for teaching. His impact on the lives of others will forever be cherished.

A memorial service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on [date] at [time] at [location]. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Wounded Veterans charity in Charlie's honor.

Forever in our hearts, Charlie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul find eternal peace.
