Charles L. Mullenix III, affectionately known as Chuck, passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on November 9, 1962, in Minor, AL, and resided in McCalla, AL at the time of his passing.

Chuck was a man who cherished his family above all else. He loved spending quality time with them, sharing laughter and creating memories. He had a passion for smoking BBQ and took great pride in his culinary skills. Additionally, Chuck was an avid fan of the Alabama Football Team and would enthusiastically cheer them on during games.

Throughout his life, Chuck pursued various careers, but it was his time as a History Teacher at Oneida Baptist Institute that brought him the most joy. He had a knack for teaching and loved sharing his knowledge with his students.

One of Chuck's favorite quotes was from Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, which stated, "There is a time and a place for all things." This quote reflected his belief in the importance of timing and the right circumstances.

Chuck was deeply devoted to his wife, Marlana Messer Mullenix, and their love was a source of strength and happiness. Together, they raised three daughters: Charie Mullenix Parler, Charlee Gelene Mullenix (McFall), and her fiance, Justin McFall. Chuck's three grandchildren, Carlos D. Parler Jr., Cameren Lee Parler, and Emma Kate Mcfall, brought immense joy to his life.

He is survived by his brother, Dr. Christopher D. Mullenix, and his wife, Jamie Ullock Mullenix, along with nieces and nephews, Christopher Dalton Mullenix, Christina Danielle Mullenix, Marley Marie Ullock, and Miles Christian James Mullenix.

Chuck was known for his humor, honesty, caring nature, and devout faith. He always aimed to bring a smile to the faces of those around him, and his teaching style reflected his desire to uplift and educate without degrading. He also had a deep passion for sharing his love for Alabama football and his faith in the Lord.

Chuck was an active member of Church H2O, formerly known as the Freewill Baptist Church, where he dedicated a significant amount of time in his younger years.

Charles L. Mullenix III will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those he left behind.
