Obituary:

Charles Edward Turner, 72, of North Carolina, passed away on April 24, 2024, in Sharpsburg, North Carolina. He was born on August 30, 1951, in North Carolina to Julia Christine Turner DeShields and the late Marion M. Turner.

Charles is survived by his children: Charles E. Turner, Jr. (Kimberly) of Nashville, Frankie Turner Williams (Kevin) of Rocky Mount, and Matthew Brent Turner (Megan) of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by his mother, Julia Christine Turner DeShields, and siblings: Barbara Meyer (Mike) of Creedmore, Lloyd W. Turner (Rhonda) of Rocky Mount, and Julia Faye Worrell (CT) of Rocky Mount. Charles will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: Charles "Tripp" Turner, III (Rhiannon Turner) , Michael Seth Turner (Hailey Cockrell), Hay'leigh Turner, Rachel Williams, Chase Williams, Kayden Turner, Mattie Turner, and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Waylon Turner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion M. Turner, brothers David and Mike Turner, and the mother of his children and friend, Brenda Lancaster Turner.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Nashville Church of God, 606 S Clark St, Nashville, NC 27856. Visitation with friends will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm.
