Charles D. Battallio, III was born in Philadelphia, PA to parents Charles Battallio, Jr. & Linda Camille Pettiford (late).
He was educated at John Bartram Motivation High School and furthered is education with a degree from West Chester University. Later in life, he studied at Harvard University.
Charles married his sole mate Harold “Jay” Melvin in which they shared 24 years together.
His career included working for Chanel, Missoni, Jeffrey NY, and FarFetch. Charles had been a Stylist for the cast of the show Empire and was also featured Front Cover of a magazine for his exceptional work.
