Charles "Charlie" Anthony Courtney 54 was born on October 2, 1969, in Oak Ridge, TN, to the late Mary L. Brown and Larry T. Courtney, and most recently resided in Pennsylvania. Passed away on October 29th 2023 in Florida.
Charlie attended Florence Bernd Elementary school (Macon, Ga), Califf Middle School (Gray, Ga), Jones County High School (Gray, Ga). After High school he joined the United States Army.
Charlie's professional attributes were Army, Fed Prison Security officer, Law enforcement, and truck driver.
Charlie was a man of many passions, known for his love of cooking and his infectious sense of humor, which never failed to bring smiles to those around him. He cherished the joys of travel, fishing, and camping.
A true enthusiast of good food, Charlie delighted in preparing BBQ, beans and ham, fried potatoes, cornbread, and his beloved eclair cake. His musical tastes leaned towards old country music and classic rock 'n' roll, which often provided the soundtrack to his many adventures.
Above all, Charlie loved spending time with his children and especially treasured moments with his grandkids Jud and Payton. He found joy in riding his Harley, feeling the wind on his face and the freedom of the open road. A devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers, he could often be found cheering passionately for his favorite Team.
Charlie is preceded in death by mom Mary L. Brown (Macon, Ga), pops Larry T Courtney (Valdosta, Ga), Dad Larry E Brown (Gray, Ga), step-mom Melanie Brown (Gray, Ga), Sister Diane Brown Armoska (Atlanta, Ga)
Survived by daughter Bridgette Courtney (Jason Rockey) Selinsgrove Pa, son Charles Courtney Sunbury, Pa, son Christian Courtney Lewisburg, Pa, grandson Jud Rockey, granddaughter Payton Rockey Selinsgrove Pa, sister Tammy Case (John) Macon, Ga, sister Angela Sebestyen (Danny) Sugar Hill, Ga, Sandra "Dee Dee" Bonadonna (John) Las Vegas, NV, Tom Ischkum (Karen), Schaumburg IL, Christopher Courtney Dekalb, IL, step-mom Christine Courtney Schaumburg IL Many Niece's and Nephews, great Niece's and Nephews and Aunt's, Uncles, cousins.
Charlie leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
