It is with deep sorrow that we share this message.

As many of you know, our son had been bravely fighting a serious health battle for several months. He was physically and emotionally exhausted, and his suffering had reached a point where he saw no way forward.

Tragically, he took his own life today.

He was an organ donor in the U.S., and in accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. His final request was for his ashes to be scattered at the Lake Michigan riverfront — a place he loved and often visited with his fiancée. For this reason, we will not be bringing his remains back to Sri Lanka.

We are sharing this message with his mobile and WhatsApp contacts, as we do not have access to his social media accounts. We kindly ask that you help us inform his friends and colleagues.

May our beloved son attain Nibbana.
