Chad Allan Iverson, born on August 28, 1978, in Alexandria, MN, currently from Sauk Rapids MN passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Cloud. After a 4 year battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, remembered for his kind heart and unwavering spirit.
Chad was a dedicated family man, cherishing every moment spent with his wife, Becky, and his children, Keonia (Arron) of Fargo/ Moorhead area and Denis Iverson , as well as his stepdaughters, Mackenzy (Steve) from St. Paul and Natalie from Sauk Rapids. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Skyler and Kaden (Keoina), often delighting in their company during movie nights and outdoor adventures.
With a passion for cars and welding, Chad was known for his skills in working on vehicles, a hobby that brought him great satisfaction. He also loved biking along the rails-to-trails paths, which allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors. A true music enthusiast, he found comfort in the powerful sounds of Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, and Five Finger Death Punch. He would want to be remembered as you sit around a campfire, it was his favorite place to be.
Chad's calm demeanor and polite nature made him a friend to all, and he was an expert in trivia, often sharing interesting facts with those around him. His motto, "You betcha” and “yeppers," reflected his upbeat attitude, even in the face of challenges. Throughout his battle with cancer, Chad maintained a positive outlook, inspiring those around him with his resilience and generosity. His contributions to the community included donations to St. Jude's Hospital and support for the rails-to-trails program.
Chad is survived by his loving parents, Vernon and Mavis Iverson, and his sister, Roxanne Riesselman. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, including his cherished cat, Kitty. A memorial service will be held at a later date, because his journey did not end in death, he donated his body to cancer research at the University of Minnesota. In Lou of cards, the family has asked if you wish to make a donation to Quiet Oaks Hospice House out of St. Cloud under Chad‘s name.
