Cecil Darnell Williams, aged 68, passed away on July 6, 2026, in Chicago, IL. Born on December 30, 1958, in Chicago, he lived a full life marked by commitment to his family and community.

Cecil graduated from Cregier Vocational High School and began his career at Brach’s Candy Company. He dedicated seven years there before joining the Post Office, where he served for over twenty-five years until his retirement. Known affectionately as BoBo, he had a passion for basketball and cherished his role as a father, deeply influencing his family with his dedication and love.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Virginia, and their large and loving family, including five daughters, Tenita, Brittney, Jade, Jakara, Crisshan; two sons, Darnell and Jayvonte; seven grandchildren; five sisters, LaDonna, Kimberly, LaKesha, Reshonda, Brenda; and a host of relatives including six aunts, ten nephews, six nieces, and twenty-one great-nieces and nephews. Cecil was preceded in death by his mother, Alean, his sister, Monique, and four uncles, Robert, John Jr, Frank, and Larry.

Cecil's legacy is carried forward by the many lives he touched with his generosity and spirit. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him as they remember his life and contributions.
