Cecil Alexander Croft was born in Belize City, Belize on December 14, 1936 to Pearl Watler (Broaster) and Hendicott Croft. He passed away on April 7, 2024.
When he was young, he was called Hurk (Hercules) because of the strength he had and because he was able to do things that most grown men had difficulty doing.
When he was about 20, he joined the police force and was stationed in the city of Corozal. After 9 years with the force, he immigrated to the United States for a better life. Through hard work and sacrifice, he was able to live the American dream.
He provided his family with a home full of love and always welcomed extended family to visit. He loved taking road trips. There were many times that he would work a full day and when he arrived home he would gather the family and hit the road.
He loved to tease and play jokes on his family and loved ones. In his later years he always had a smile on his face.
Several years after retiring, Cecil and Terese moved back to Belize and built a home next to the sea in Corozal. They spent their time re-discovering the love they had for each other and their country.
Cecil leaves behind his loving wife Yvonne Terese Croft and children, Donnalee Jex, Peggyann Young, Michelle Croft-Lewis, Cecil Croft Jr, Curt Westby, Monique Croft-Thomas, Melissa Mattis, and Matthew Croft. His 18 grand children, Harold Jex, Dynelly Arroyo, Gerardo Arroyo, Dylana Arroyo, Steven Young, Ariana Croft, Zhaun Croft Taylor, Curt Westby Jr, Kayla Westby, Kyle Westby, Reece Croft, Cecil Croft III, Ayana Croft, Zharia Thomas, Jade Croft-Mack, Jasmyne Mendes, Sierra Mendes, Carter Joseph Orlando Croft, 9 great-grandchildren, his sisters Joan Jackson and Valerie Croft.
