Cassidy Denae Windham, born on September 23, 1999, in Asheville, NC, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2024, in Sarasota, FL. She was a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest.
Cassidy had an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. She was known for her love of skydiving, music, and spending time with her family. Her favorite pastimes included immersing herself in the beauty of nature and enjoying the serenity of the beach with a refreshing spritzer and a good book.
Music held a special place in Cassidy's heart, and she had an eclectic taste. From Paramore to Alicia Keys, Beyonce to Pink Floyd, her playlist was as diverse as her personality.
Cassidy was fierce and quick-witted, with an unwavering tenacity and determination. Her courage and bravery were matched only by her kindness and empathy. She had a heart of gold and possessed a radiant aura that drew others towards her.
Family was of utmost importance to Cassidy. She was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Greg and Tina Marie Windham and a cherished sister to Brian Alexander, Michael Shane, Kenneth Dakota, Kathy Rose, Brent David, Karrista Marie, Allyson June, Auburn Cheyenne, and Alexis Erin. Cassidy's step-father, Dwight Howard, numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive her.
In addition to her love for family, Cassidy had a passion for sports. Baseball and hockey were among her favorite sports to watch and enjoy.
Cassidy's proudest accomplishments included competing and winning beauty pageants and excelling in cheerleading. Her spirit and determination shone through in everything she pursued.
Cassidy will forever be remembered for her favorite quotes and life mottos. She lived by the words, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world," and believed that life was either a daring adventure or nothing at all. Her motto was to always be a little kinder than necessary, and she understood that keeping her face towards the sunshine would make shadows fall behind her.
Her departure leaves a void, but her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cassidy's infectious laughter and radiant energy will be dearly missed.
In honor of Cassidy Denae Windham's life, an intimate celebration of her spirit will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of New Life Church with Rev. Roger Dawson officiating. Friends and family are welcome to join in remembering a remarkable individual who touched countless lives. May her soul find eternal peace as she rests in the embrace of the heavens.
