Ruby(Cary) Audrey Mitchell born Ruby Audrey Thompson, 09/11/1961 passed away peacefully in her sleep in the evening hours of Friday March 20th,2026.

Ruby (Cary) is survived by her oldest daughter Jennie Marie Nahacky, her son Gary Thomas Thompson, and her youngest Cary Lynn Thompson Cotrufo. She is also survived by her 6 beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruby was a devoted Christian and loves Jesus very much, and gracefully she has now made her way back into the warm embrace of the savior she so adored in life. Ruby suffered from medical issues that caused complications that led her to be placed in an assisted living facility in 2022. In spite of all the medical issues, She loved this place and all the people that surrounded her in her daily life. She made friends of anyone who's willing to smile and laugh at a joke. Ruby loved her family more than anything and will be missed everyday. There will be a viewing / celebration of Ruby'slife on Friday March 27th @ 9 a.m @ Newcombers Funeral home in Akron Ohio. Her ashes will be spread in one of her favorite places in Akron @ The gorge, by family and her closest friends following the ceremony.
