Carmen Medina Ortiz, affectionately known as Damaris, passed away on August 7, 2024, just three days shy of her 75th birthday. Born on August 10, 1949, in New York, NY, she spent her final years in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
Carmen dedicated over 20 years of her life as a front desk manager for Wyndham and Sheraton, where her warm personality and professionalism made a lasting impact on both guests and colleagues. Known for her caring and loving nature, she cherished her family above all else, serving as a beacon of hope and support for those around her.
A woman of many talents, Carmen loved cooking delicious seafood dishes, singing along to the music of her favorite artist, Ricardo Montaner, and finding solace in reading the Bible. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she often shared her favorite saying, "God is good all the time," reflecting her optimistic outlook.
Carmen is survived by her four sons, Miguel, Anthony, David, and Raymond, and seven beloved grandchildren: Raymond, Jeremy, David, Grace, Miguel, Christian, and Gabriel. Her legacy of love, humor, and strength will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her professional achievements, Carmen actively participated in her community, lending her voice to the church chorus and spreading joy through her involvement. She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but also for her ability to bring hope to anyone in need.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
