Carmen Burns, 47, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Livingston, New Jersey—the town where he was born and raised.
Born on July 28, 1977, in Livingston, Carmen spent his life surrounded by the people and places that shaped him. Throughout his life, he embraced many roles: son, brother, cousin, friend, fiancé, and uncle. To those who knew him, Carmen’s presence was marked by love, humor, and generosity.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Joann Salvadore; his sisters, Angela Burns and Deana Salvadore; his fiancé, Joey Stagaard; and his nephew, Aiden Hems. He was predeceased by his grandparents Carmen and Angelina.
From a young age, Carmen had a passion for sports. He played baseball and soccer with enthusiasm during childhood and remained a loyal fan of the New York Yankees. He is also an avid fan of Dallas Cowboys. Carmens love for fast cars was also well known especially his cherished Corvettes.
Carmen also found joy in food—both cooking and sharing it. He took pride in preparing meals that brought people together and especially enjoyed making chicken cutlets and mashed potatos. A devoted fan of the Food Network, he particularly admired shows featuring Guy Fieri.
Poker nights were among Carmens favorite pastimes—filled with laughter, strategy and camaraderie. Music was another constant in his life; his playlists reflected wide-ranging tastes from house music to hip-hop to classic ’80s love songs.
Carmen will be remembered for how deeply he loved—with all his heart. His warmth touched everyone around him and leaves behind cherished memories.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire love in their lives.
