Mr. Carlton Darnell Washington,87,entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Piedmont Hospital
Carlton was born in Columbia, South Carolina on August 5, 1938 to the late Myrtle and Carlton Sr.Washington .Carlton proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was of the Christian faith and attended Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville, South Carolina. Carlton was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards. He was a life member as well as Past Commander at the VFW Post #10601.
In addition to his parents, Carlton is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Linda Saville-Washington
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Amanda Washington -Davis and Patricia Lynn Bentley -Washington four sons Darnell Washington James Washington Thomas Washington Leshun Washington his grandchildren ; Tymir Davis Jocklynn Washington Deonna Washington Duvonn Davis Ashley Davis Timothy Washington Karen Washington Eric Washington Samantha Davis as well as his twin brother William "Bill" Washington 1 sister Beverly Miller
The family will greet friends beginning at 3 o'clock on Thursday , February 24, 2024 at Christian Heritage Church, 285 Ascauga Lake Rd, Graniteville, SC 29829. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 3 o’clock pm in the church sanctuary.
