Carlos Antone Traywick, Sr., affectionately known as "Big Red," passed away on December 20, 2024, in Kansas City, MO, at the age of 63. Born on December 6, 1961, in Mobile, AL, Carlos devoted his life to his family and his work as a house painter and fiberglass blower.
A man of many passions, Carlos enjoyed going out fishing with family and friends, and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, often bringing his own unique flair to game day. His enduring spirit was captured in his motto, "Traywicks never quit," a testament to his tenacity and resilience.
Carlos took immense pride in his children, Carlos Jr. and Darien, and his grandchildren: Antonio, Kalina, Andre, Aiden, Amari, Zondrea, Keyona, and Jodeci. His legacy continues through them, as he instilled in them the values of hard work and determination.
Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Carlos was always eager to learn something new and was fiercely protective of those he loved. He faced life with a stubborn strength that endeared him to many.
Carlos is survived by his children and grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons and love he imparted throughout his life. He was previously married to Petula Traywick (Wesley), and though they parted ways, he held a deep respect for their shared memories. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
