Carlene Lee, age 68, of Jackson, MS, passed away on March 21, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1955, in Jackson, MS, and had lived there throughout her life.
Carlene was known for her favorite hobbies, which included coloring, sewing, writing, and cooking. She had a particular fondness for fried chicken, red beans and rice, and cornbread. Mary J. Blige was her favorite musical artist, and she loved listening to music in her free time.
Carlene's grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her favorite place in the world was her own bed, where she found comfort and relaxation. She enjoyed watching Madea on TV and had a fondness for basketball.
Carlene, also known as Carly or Bae, worked as a nurse and was proud of her profession. She lived by the motto "Live, laugh, learn" and was admired for her selfless and helpful nature. Carlene made a positive impact on the lives of others through her involvement in the breast cancer awareness program, where she served as co-president. She remained dedicated to supporting and being there for others despite her own battle with cancer.
In addition to her professional and community contributions, Carlene was a Bible study teacher at St. Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her sweet personality and her unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand.
Carlene is survived by her children Letrice Stewart, Sharon Winters, and Joshua Winters, as well as her grandchildren Quinshaud Winters, Shaquita Jones, Nyeshia Winters, Brantley Funchess, Brameshia Funchess, Stacey Stewart, Sigmonica Moore, Jennis Moore, and great-grandchildren Jayshuad Winters, Nicklaus Jones, Essa Donald, and Eli Donald.
Carlene Lee will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to inspire others.
