Carla Jones-Carleton, 65 Norfolk, Virginia passed away on September, 9th, 2024.

She was born in Washington, DC on April 15, 1959, to the late Geraldine -Jones-Gibson and the late Roy A. Gibson Sr.
She grew up enjoying the company of her seven brothers. In her
youth, she attended Cardoza High School. Following High School,
she attended Harvard University and later joined the United States Army.

Carla worked several years for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she served as First Lady. She loved playing billiards, horseshoes, and dominoes with her brothers. She will be remembered as being devoted, loving, caring, thoughtful, and quick-witted.

Carla was preceded in death by her late beloved husband Paton Carlton, her late mother Geraldine -Jones-Gibson, late father Roy A. Gibson Sr, brother James Jones, Roy A
Jones, Jr., and son Sean Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Jones and son Fabian Jones; brothers Larry Jones, Calvin Jones, Charles Jones, John Gibson, Jr, and Karl Gibson. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 1 great grand, as well as countless other treasured family members and friends.
