Carla Jean Leone, born on March 31, 1934, in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, passed away on December 19, 2024, in Knoxville, TN. She was a beloved wife to Michael Leone Jr. and a devoted mother to her daughter, Lynn White. Carla cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandson, Devin White, and as a great grandmother to Jackson and Colson White.

A passionate educator, Carla worked as an editor for the Columbia University college catalog and dedicated many years as a special education teacher, where she made a lasting impact on her students’ lives. In her community, she volunteered as a reading tutor at Union Grove Elementary School, sharing her love of literacy with the next generation.

Carla enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including reading, gardening, bird watching, and solving crossword puzzles. Her vibrant spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
