She was a serious coffee drinker ever since high school and many detours for Starbucks were made on our way to school and work. She wanted to go to Ireland and retire in Las Vegas. She loved her kittens. She played volleyball for many years. Sometimes we meet friends that become forever family. You were taken too soon but will live on in our memories forever! Caitlyn you had one of the most genuine loving hearts and cherished each of us in our family. She had a great laugh, and many funny stories and shared her unconditional love with us all.
Playing with her kittens Jupiter and Marjorine is our “helper” with puzzles! 😸 Except it’s the opposite. Lol. telling stories and having a great laugh with friends.

In every job she went above and beyond and her skills often exceeded the job description. She dedicated her life to serving others in many different spheres a former Aerospace Medical Journey in the United States Air Force, various roles in the medical field including the Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator at Oregon Health & Science University to most recently at Unity Point Health while she pursued her degree nursing career at Clarke University Dubuque.
Caitlyn Hauser, born on November 29, 1983, in Minneapolis, MN, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Dubuque, IA. Caitlyn, affectionately known as Caiti, was a vibrant spirit who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was a devoted wife to Mike Hauser and beloved sister to Liz Hying, as well as a cherished daughter to Mark and Cathy Hying.
Caitlyn’s passions included cuddling with her beloved kittens, Jupiter and Marjorine, and she was often found solving puzzles, bringing joy and laughter into the lives of those around her. A dedicated professional, Caitlyn served with distinction as a former Aerospace Medical Journeyman in the United States Air Force and worked in various roles within the medical field, including as the Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator at Oregon Health & Science University. She was pursuing her nursing degree at Clarke University in Dubuque, where her compassion and dedication to helping others shone brightly.
Her love for life was reflected in her favorite pastimes, which included watching shows like "General Hospital," "Game of Thrones," and "Friends," alongside her favorite movies such as "You’ve Got Mail" and "The Whole Nine Yards." Caitlyn enjoyed playing volleyball and was a passionate fan of hockey and baseball. Her great laugh and ability to tell funny stories made every gathering special.
Caitlyn dreamt of visiting Ireland and retiring in Las Vegas, but her greatest joy came from the connections she made. She embodied the motto "Laugh loud and laugh often," and her genuine, loving heart left an indelible mark on her family and friends. Although she was taken too soon, Caitlyn’s spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved her, reminding us all of the importance of kindness, laughter, and the bonds we share.
