After serving in the Army for two years in North Carolina, in 1965 Bruce embarked on a three year jaunt around Europe, the Middle East and North Africa via motorbike. He worked odd jobs in the winters - including as a ski lift operator (while living in a crude village farm house), as a telephone cable installer, and as a dishwasher -- and jaunted from Germany to Libya and from Sweden to Lebanon. In the 1980's, Bruce spent four summers traveling across the US doing volunteer work for environmental organizations including cleaning up trash along wild rivers.
We'll plant real trees for you in Bruce's memory and display your contribution forever.
