Observing people. He loved to go out and just watch people, be with his friends, go to sporting events, concerts, out to eat, he just like to be involved.
He started teaching at Mohawk Trail Regional HS right after graduating with his degree in accounting and education, and continued teaching there right until his retirement.
He loved driving around and finding a good bargain.

Bruce Arthur Mooney, beloved teacher and observer of life, passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on July 19, 1947, in Greenfield, MA, Bruce spent his formative years in the care of his parents, Myron and Juliette Mooney.
Bruce's passion for education led him to Greenfield High School, where he received his high school education. He then pursued his studies at the University of New England in Manchester, NH, graduating with a degree in accounting and education.
Right after obtaining his degree, Bruce began his teaching career at Mohawk Trail Regional High School. His dedication to his profession was unwavering, as he continued to inspire and educate students until his retirement.
Beyond the classroom, Bruce found great joy in observing the world around him. He cherished spending time with his friends, attending sporting events and concerts, and savoring meals shared with loved ones. Bruce had an eye for a good bargain and found immense pleasure in driving around, searching for the perfect deal.
One of Bruce's favorite places on Earth was his camper in Wells Harbor, Maine. This serene retreat allowed him to find solace and relaxation amidst the beauty of nature.
Bruce's impact extended beyond his professional achievements. As a teacher and soccer coach, he positively influenced the lives of many students and athletes. Additionally, growing up, Bruce actively participated in the Catholic church and served as a boyscout leader, contributing to the community and instilling values in the young minds he encountered.
Bruce will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to have crossed paths with him. May his memory inspire us to observe the world with curiosity, pursue our passions relentlessly, and find joy in the simple pleasures of life.
A simple graveside burial in Greenfield MA at Calvary Cemetary will take place at 11 am on May 16th.
