Brian K. Michaels was born on September 2, 1967, in Gastonia, NC. He had resided in Charlotte for the last 30 years. A dedicated real estate broker, Brian was not only known for his professional achievements but also for his caring and empathetic nature.

Brian had a passion for travel and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was an avid tennis player and a strong advocate for animal rescue, dedicating much of his time to helping animals in need. His love for animals was evident, as he is survived by his three beloved rescue dogs, Rudy, Winnie, and Bruno, as well as a feral cat (Kitty) that he had been taking care of for the past 4 years.

He is survived by his wonderful husband, Robert Felker, who was a constant source of love and support in his life. Brian is also survived by his sister, Jackie Fleming, and her husband, John, along with his niece, Hannah Fleming. He also leaves behind the Felker family as well and had great love for his father in law, George Felker. Additionally, he leaves behind cherished uncle and aunt, Brandon and Michelle Arthurs of Wilmington, NC, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wonderful and loving parents, Joe and Donna Michaels of Gastonia.

Brian was fortunate to have great friends who stood by him and accepted him as he was, including Julie Swobodzinski, Emily Chaskelson, Jennifer O’Connor, Tammie Fiorella, and many others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his kind spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
