It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Brenda Sue Carson’s passing on March 31, 2024, at her home in River Forest, Illinois, at the age of 57. Her loss is felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her warmth, her laughter, and her boundless capacity for love.

Brenda is lovingly remembered by her sons, Bradlee (and his wife, Sanjana) Turpin, and Joel Carson; her beloved granddaughter, Aaria; her sister, Belinda (and her husband, Ryan) Shepard; and her brother, Patrick Winhoven. She is predeceased by her parents, Virginia and Thomas Winhoven; brother, Thomas (Tommy) Winhoven; and sister, Denise Kasza.

Raised in Erie, Michigan, with early memories at Mason Consolidation and graduating from Bedford High School, Brenda’s love for life was infectious. Her favorite escapades included the vibrant streets of New Orleans, LA, a place that mirrored her own spirit and zest for life.

Brenda’s presence was a beacon of joy and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many. The absence of her vibrant spirit creates an irreplaceable void, yet her legacy of kindness and warmth will forever live on.

In tribute to Brenda’s journey, a celebration of her life will be held as we lay her ashes to rest, honoring a soul whose brightness made the world a kinder place.
