Brenda Lynn Ratledge, affectionately known as Bren, was born on March 1, 1950, in Elizabeth City, NC, and passed away on January 7, 2025, in Raleigh, NC. A dedicated dietary aide for 35 years, Brenda was known for her commitment to her work and her compassionate nature. She was proud to be a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, cherishing time spent with her family.

Brenda's life was guided by her favorite saying, "Finer than a frog's hair," which reflected her spirited outlook on life. She is remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.

She is survived by her children: Carolyn R, Dean B, and Raelynn W, along with her grandchildren: Mike M, Zac W, Martina B, Asia E, Trevor E, Bryson E and many other beloved family members. She is also survived by her sisters Olsa, Glori, and Kelly. Brenda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Delson Ratledge.

Brenda Lynn Ratledge will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she shared.
