Obituary

Bradford Doyle Brewster, born on January 27, 1958, in Akron, Ohio, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Whitmire, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of Sox and Susie Brewster and is survived by his loving partner of nine years, Mary Jane, as well as his sisters, Susan and Tina, and his brother, Jay.

A graduate of Culver Military Academy, Bradford was known affectionately as Brew or Brewster to family and friends. He was a talented carpenter and woodwork artist, with a passion for crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his love for wood. His hobbies included carpentry, where he showcased his artistry, and he was also a devoted soccer fan.

Bradford was known for his honesty, bluntness, kindness, and loyalty—traits that endeared him to many. He had a remarkable sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him. He enjoyed an eclectic mix of music, including favorites like Chris Christensen, The Dead South, Johnny Cash, The Talking Heads, and Waylon Jennings. His love for pistachio ice cream and his passion for wood were just a couple of the many unique aspects of his personality.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Bradford was actively involved in the Military History Museum and was a steadfast advocate for maintaining a clean environment, never littering throughout his life. Although he identified as a hopeful agnostic, he respected diverse beliefs and engaged with others in meaningful conversations.

Bradford's warm spirit and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
