Bonnie Mae O'Brien Lask was born on June 8, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Tobias J. and Mae Deckman O'Brien. A long time resident of Ballwin, Missouri; she lived most recently in Wentzville, Missouri. She passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
A dedicated family member, Bonnie cherished her time with loved ones above all. After graduating from Nursing School in 1980 she worked as Licensed Practical Nurse, providing compassionate care throughout her career. She had a lifelong love of all animals, big and small, and passed this love on to her family.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Christopher) Stassi of Warren County, Missouri, and Barbara Ann (Tom) Schilling of Arnold, Missouri.
She was a proud grandmother to Sarah (Matt) Groeteke of St. Charles, Missouri, Tom Wondell of Fenton, Missouri, Kristen (Kyle) Distler of O'Fallon, Missouri. Christina (Ben) Taylor of Great Mills, Maryland, and Michelle Stassi of Defiance, Missouri. Bonnie was also a beloved great-grandmother to Autumn Groeteke, Lilyann and Elijah Distler, Logan and Lexi Taylor and Zola Skaggs.
In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will remember her for her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor.
Bonnie was preceeded in death by her husband and the love of her life Thomas R. Lask , her cherished sister Audree O'Brien McConnell, her devoted parents, grandparents, niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and cousins.
Bonnie's legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends will be cherished by all who knew her.
A funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, Missouri.
A private graveside service with interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetary, Manchester, Missouri is pending.
