Born on November 22, 1937, in Broderick, West Sacramento, CA, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Pleasant Hill, CA.From a heart attack.
A revered Architect for Contra Costa County, Bob was responsible for the construction of many significant county buildings, leaving an indelible mark on the community he loved.
Bob was a proud Japanese American who, despite the injustice of being incarcerated in a Japanese internment camp and labeled as non-citizen during World War II. He still embodied resilience and determination. He and his family demonstrated a deep-seated love for America, striving to create a better future for all generations to come.
An avid traveler, Bob explored many corners of the world, but his favorite places that he visited most often was Kawaii, Hawaii and Reno Nevada. Bob enjoyed writing and had a passion for sports, particularly football, basketball, and baseball. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Bob often found joy in his favorite TV shows centered around sports.
Bob recently embraced a vegetarian lifestyle and was known for his kind and generous nature. He cherished his family above all, finding happiness in spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his daughter, Tamara Sepulveda, as well as his grandchildren: Aaron Baba, Ashley McCarty, Alysia Baton, Zoey Zuniga, Jeremy Baba, Stephanie Hatfield and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Nault Baba. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the warmth and thoughtfulness he brought to those around him.
