Bill (Daddy Bill ) Holland was born to the parents of Elnora and Johnny Holland In Baton Rouge Louisiana June 11th 1940. Bill was the oldest of 5 siblings Jackie Holland-Robertson, Kenneth Holland, Nancy Holland-jones, and Willie Holland.
Bill spent his early life attending school with his siblings in Louisiana where he often enjoyed playing outside with the neighborhood kids and going fishing in the creek near by the family home. When Bill turned the age of 9 His father relocated the family to Terrell TX. Bill grew a passion for cars quickly in Texas and became determined to fix and operate on vehicles like his father.
Bill didn’t complete his high school education in order to work on cars full time . He met his first wife Minnie pearl at the age of 16 and married her at 17 years old they share 6 kids together. By the time bill turned 26 he remarried Elizabeth Bradshaw together they share 4 children. Bill moved on to open his own mechanic shop with his best friend Melvin Holmes . They called it H&H service shop. It served the community for 20 years before Bill decided to retire. When Bill reached the age of retirement he decided to relocate to saint louis to spend time with his oldest sons and grandchildren. Bill loved telling stories and watching his grandchildren children grow up. He often spent his days going down to the barber shop that his son owned just to sit and talk all day to whoever would listen.
Bill fell ill to cancer but gave it a good fight he was surrounded by his family and loved ones in his home when he took his last breath.
