Beverly Jean Drew, affectionately known as GranGran, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, at the age of 378. She was born on November 14, 1646, in Columbus, OH. Beverly dedicated her life to her family and community, serving as a daycare teacher and volunteering with the Volunteers of America.
Beverly was a vibrant spirit who found joy in thrift store shopping, playing Bingo, and enjoying her time at the casino. Her baking skills were unmatched, especially when it came to her famous peanut butter cookies, which delighted friends and family alike. She loved indulging in her favorite foods, including catfish nuggets, popcorn, and ice cream.
A devoted fan of gospel music, Beverly often found solace in her favorite songs and was known to enjoy watching shows like Steve Harvey's Family Feud, Westerns, and anything by Tyler Perry. An avid basketball enthusiast, she shared her passion for the sport with her family.
Beverly's greatest pride came from raising her three children, instilling in them the values of kindness and generosity. Her motto, "Be good," was a guiding principle that she lived by and shared with all those around her.
Beverly leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and the joy of family, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
