Betty Ruth Phillips was born on May 25, 1933 in Somerville Tennessee to Charlie and Elora Holmes. She died peaceful at home with family on August 26, 2024. She confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized. She was educated in Somerville Tennessee Public system. Years later she became ordain Evangelist in 1975 at True Light Mission (COGIC) And Pontiac, Michigan She was a prayer warrior. She helped many of people confess their life to Christ. She was one of God, favorite servant she proceeded in death by her husband, James Phillips JR One daughter, Maggie, Marie Holland, her brother Charlie, Holmes, sister, Mattie McGuire, and Sarah Francis Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Sylvette (Roger) Williams granddaughter LaShanda Holland And grandson, Raymond, Holland of Pontiac, Michigan, two granddaughters of Cleveland, Ohio Tameka Blaine ,Lakasha Williams Two great grandsons of Pontiac, Michigan Erick Crumb, LaChance Holland, Four great great grand Romney Taylor, Yennel Williams, Kailan Branner, Zayden Williams, Sister Esther Johnson of Pontiac, Michigan ,Ruthie( Walter ) Luthie Williams Detroit, Michigan, Brother Elvin Holmes Memphis, Tennessee, special nephew/son Wilbert(Geraldine) Johnson Columbus, Ohio a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends
