Betty Omega Mathews, lovingly known as Miss Betty, peacefully passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 75. She was born on March 4, 1949, in Potosi, MO, the place she called home throughout her life.

Betty had a strong faith and cherished going to church, finding solace and comfort in her spirituality. She adored her family and found joy in their presence, often gathering them around her. Betty's love for her family was immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed.

In her free time, Betty enjoyed cooking and preparing delicious meals, with green beans being one of her favorite dishes. She had an appreciation for Soul Town R&B music, which would bring a smile to her face. She found relaxation in watching "The Young and the Restless" on television.

Betty spent many years as a custodian at Potosi Elementary, making a lasting impact on the students and staff she worked with. Her dedication and hard work were admirable, and she took pride in her profession.

With a beautiful smile that could light up a room, Betty was known for her kindness and love towards everyone around her. She had a way of making people feel special and valued. Betty's presence was a blessing, and her loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her three children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters and one brother, who will carry on her memory. Her beloved spouse preceded her in death.
