She never met a stranger. Everyone who met her felt comfortable immediately and fell in love with her charm, beautiful heart, and sweet cheerful personality. Most importantly she was the best single mom who raised 2 kids all by herself and she did it perfectly.

Eddie Hall is her son and first child born in 1961 Sandra Rene Brown her daughter and best friend who took care of her until the end of her life. Born in 1968
Betty has one very beautiful and brilliant granddaughter, Kya Nicole Brown, daughter of Sandra Brown. Betty loves her as if she were her own child.
Betty Jean Brown-Strickland, born on April 2, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, in Dallas County, Texas. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and cherished friend, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and creativity.
Betty was a multitalented individual who found joy in drawing, painting, gardening, interior design, and ballroom dancing. Her appreciation for life extended to her favorite foods, which included seafood, chicken and dumplings, and sweet treats like cake, pie, and ice cream. Betty's musical tastes reflected her vibrant spirit, as she enjoyed the tunes of Elvis Presley, Barbara Streisand, and Garth Brooks, among others.
Known for her ability to make everyone feel at ease, Betty had a unique charm that endeared her to all who crossed her path. As a single mother, she raised her two children, Eddie Hall and Sandra Rene Brown, with unwavering love and support. Her proudest accomplishments included her son attending college and her daughter excelling in medical school with a remarkable 4.0 GPA. Betty also adored her granddaughter, Kya Nicole Brown, whom she loved as if she were her own child.
A property manager by profession, Betty was dedicated to helping others find their perfect homes, often painting a vivid picture of their future with her artistic vision. Her community involvement included supporting Sunnyvale Baptist Church, the SPCA, the Kidney Foundation, and Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
Betty is survived by her daughter Sandra, son Eddie, granddaughter Kya, and cousin Jimmy Starr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Escoe R. Strickland, affectionately known as Radar Red, who served in both the military and the Dallas Police Department.
A Baptist Christian at heart, Betty lived her faith daily, often expressing gratitude with phrases like "Amen," "God Bless you," and "Thank you, Lord." Her unwavering faith, sweet demeanor, and empathetic nature made a lasting impact on those around her. Betty Jean Brown-Strickland will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the love she shared and the beauty she brought into the world.
