Betty Dunn, lovingly known as Betty Boop, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, at the age of 69. She was born on June 22, 1954, and raised in Alexandria, North Virginia. Betty resided in New Castle, DE, where she cherished her time with her beloved family.
Betty had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures. She loved going to Battery Park for walks and found solace in the comforts of home with her loved ones. In her free time, she enjoyed watching TV shows like Reba, Golden Girls, and That 70s Show. Betty had a competitive side and was passionate about sports, particularly shuffleboard and bowling.
Professionally, Betty dedicated her life to nursing, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those she cared for. Her compassion and gentle nature touched the hearts of many. Betty was also a proud mother to two children and a cherished grandmother. She found great joy in spending time with her family and sharing stories. Her quick wit and sharp tongue allowed her to say whatever she pleased and brought laughter to those around her.
Betty was happily married to her husband, Raymond Melee, for 30 years. Together, they created a loving and nurturing home for their children. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie, who holds countless memories of her mother's guidance, wisdom, and love.
