Bertha Morrison (Grandma Lola)

Bertha Morrison, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 79. She was born on January 7, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, and most recently resided in Atlanta, GA.

Bertha's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to nursing and her immense love for her family. She poured her heart and soul into caring for others, both professionally and personally. As a mother, she devoted herself to raising her nine children, Travis, Marvin, Lillie, Myrtle, Ronnie, Bobby, Deborah, Pauline, and Johnny. Bertha's love extended beyond her immediate family, as she was also the proud grandmother of 25 grandchildren and the great-grandmother of 17 great-grandchildren.

Bertha lived by the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'". She found solace and strength in her faith, which guided her throughout her life.

Bertha's favorite place in the world was her home, where she created a nurturing and loving environment for her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her universe, and she imparted invaluable life lessons and unconditional love to each and every one of them.

Bertha Morrison will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will forever be remembered.
