Bernice Maria Castiello-Ford-Aquino, of Ware, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on March 9, 1961, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, she brought light and creativity into the world from the very beginning.

Bernice was a gifted singer and musician who shared her passion for music as the frontwoman of her band, "Bernice Kelly & The Rainbow Riders." Her voice and presence left an indelible mark on those who had the joy of hearing her perform. Music was not just a profession for Bernice—it was a lifelong love that she nurtured with dedication and soul.

In addition to her musical career, Bernice devoted over two decades to her work as a claims specialist at a marine insurance company in Boston. Her professionalism and commitment were deeply valued by colleagues and clients alike.

Bernice’s artistic spirit extended beyond music. She had a deep appreciation for many mediums of art and found joy in exploring various forms of arts and crafts throughout her life. Her creativity was boundless, and she often shared it generously with those around her.

She was the loving wife of Michael Aquino of Ware, MA. Her family was the center of her world. She was a devoted mother to Nicole Castiello and her partner Brian Palladino of Ware, MA; and to Zachary Ford and his wife Nikki-Lynne of Rochester, NH. Bernice cherished her role as grandmother to Aydan Raine and Brianna Palladino of Ware, MA.

Bernice is also survived by her siblings: Maria Castiello-Robinson of East Boston, MA; Lisa Venezia of Winthrop, MA; Joey Castiello-DeSilva of Portland, OR; Diana Castiello of Ware, MA; Patrice Moore of Malden, MA; and Sofia Vargas-Campos of Costa Rica. She held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews who knew her as a warm and generous aunt.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Giuseppe G. Castiello and Lorraine Cefalo of East Boston, MA; as well as by her grandparents Bernice Puzin & Philip Cefalo and Gaetano & Madalena Castiello.

Bernice’s life was one filled with music, color, love, and connection. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her and continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
