Bernadette Romero-Baylon, aged 38, passed away on July 16, 2026, in Lyons, KS. Born on March 18, 1988, Bernadette's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, humor, and deep care for those around her. She was a beacon of loyalty and support, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Bernadette began her professional journey as a licensed esthetician, a role that allowed her to spread confidence and care among her clients. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue further education, culminating in her becoming a registered nurse in 2023. In this capacity, Bernadette touched many lives with her compassion and dedication to the well-being of her patients.
She was a graduate of Las Vegas High School, which laid the groundwork for her nurturing career. Beyond her professional life, Bernadette cherished the outdoors. She found joy in painting landscapes and hiking with friends. At home, she relished quality time with her husband since 2018 David Romero, and their beloved pets, Lilo and Stitch.
Bernadette is survived by a loving family: her husband David Romero; father Joe Baylon; brothers Bain and Byron Baylon; sister Berenice Baylon; grandparents Layla and Juan Baylon; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts. She was preceded in death by her mother Lilliana Huerta, brother Brandon Baylon, and great grandfather Joe Baylon.
A memorial service will be held later in Las Vegas, Nevada. Details will be released as they become available. Bernadette's life of service and care will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
