Barry Lee Wider Sr.was born July 5, 1958 to the late Preston and Louise Wider. He was educated in the schools of Richland County and was a graduate of Lower Richland High School. He drove semi trucks and was employed at Rice Services of Fort Jackson, SC before he became disabled. He was a member of Rock of Refuge and the Temple of Yeshua. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved the outdoors and spent most of his time sitting outside and listening to music. He spent time playing with and teasing his many neices and nephews. He had a knack for fixing lawn equipment. Though he was ill, he kept a positive attitude and he never complained. He spent hours reading his Bible

He was preceeded in death by his father and brothers, Alenzo, Preston III, and Roger Wider and sister, Antoinette Wider Gathers.

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother, son Barry Lee Wider Jr and daughter Jessica Wider Belle, sister Rogerlene (Thackery) Carter, brothers, Franklin( Rochelle), and Michael Wider and Michael Robinson. Grandchildren, Khamazi and Khameron Belle, Ne'Asia, Christopher and Kinsley Wider , special niece Hope Sligh and a host of neices and nephews and uncle William ( Christina) Skinner.
