Barbara Pimentel Duarte, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on April 12, 1941, in Providence, RI, and most recently resided in East Providence, RI.

Barbara was known for her vibrant personality and kind heart. She had a passion for bingo, spending many joyful hours playing the game with friends. In the kitchen, she found solace and joy in cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Barbara had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them.

Throughout her life, Barbara worked as a dedicated waitress for many years. She later retired from Sam's Club in Seekonk, MA after 16 years of service.

Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She was the proud mother of four children: the late Frank Duarte, Lori M. Duarte, Barbara J. Duarte, and David M. Duarte. Her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren brought immense joy to her life.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Manuel (Mazza) Pimentel. She will forever be remembered by her siblings Irene, Manuel, Leonard, and Raymond Pimentel.

In addition to her familial ties, Barbara was actively involved in her community. She generously donated to her church and various local charities, always seeking to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Barbara Pimentel Duarte will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be cherished and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
