Barbara, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, at the age of 77 surrounded by her family. She bravely won her five-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Barbara was born Barbara Louise Powers on September 15, 1946, to William and Eva Powers in Dallas, Oregon. She spent her formative years in Falls City, Oregon where she graduated from Falls City High School in 1964. Barbara attended business school in Portland, Oregon, before starting a job at Beneficial Finance. In 1969, Barbara married Charles Lynn Driver, and together they welcomed their beloved daughter, Jennifer Lynn Driver, into the world on April 3, 1974, in Salem, Oregon.

Throughout her life, Barbara pursued various career paths, including roles at the State of Oregon Department of Revenue, Travel Information Council, Jones Oil Company, and ODOT Office of Civil Rights. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Barbara was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a hair model for a hairdressing school for a time. Barbara also served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Girl Scout Cookie Chairperson on the Santiam Girl Scout Council. In her free time, Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking delicious meals, baking homemade treats, tending to her garden, and traveling. Barbara's creative spirit shone through in her love for painting, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and decorating bringing beauty and warmth to everything she touched.

Barbara was a lifelong learner and teacher, always eager to explore new hobbies and interests and share her knowledge with others. She cherished precious moments with her family. Barbara's compassionate nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she was considered a mother and grandmother by 16 grandkids and 12 great-grandkids. She welcomed them with open arms, providing love, guidance, and support whenever they needed it most.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Edward, her former husband Charles, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who know her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call her family and friend.
