Obituary
Barbara Joyce Royston, born on December 26, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2025, in North Richland Hills, Texas. A devoted homemaker and mother, Barbara dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a loving home. She was married to Richard Royston until his passing in 2014.
Barbara is survived by her two children, son Rick Royston and daughter Melissa Mercer. She cherished her role as a grandmother to two grandsons, Josh Mercer and Nick Mercer, as well as three granddaughters, Andrea Royston, Melanie Royston, and Jennifer Royston. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother to Cadence Parsley, Bennett Royston, and Zoey Mercer.
An active member of her community, Barbara attended Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst and First Baptist Church in Grapevine, where she found fellowship and support among her friends and church family. Her warm spirit and dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
